Culinary Arts Open Meal Service Options to Staff and Public

The Heritage Room

Chili, ribs, and mac & cheese from the first Heritage Room service

Two weeks ago, the students and staff of the Culinary Arts program at Eastland Career Center opened the doors to The Heritage Room for the first time for lunch service. Ne'Veah E. and Xavier H., seniors from Canal Winchester, designed a Football Kickoff theme full of items like ribs, wings, pizza, and sandwiches of all kinds!

The Heritage Room, a student-run and operated full-service restaurant delivering real-world hospitality experience to Culinary Arts students, is open on select days during the school year. Menus are designed by students in the program. Seating is limited and reservations are strongly recommended. More information can be found by clicking the button below or visiting www.EastlandFairfield.com/heritageroom.

Bakeology Marketplace

School nurse, Beau Fealty, is ready to pay for the tasty treats that are on display at the Bakeology Marketplace at ECC

The Bakeology Marketplace runs concurrently with The Heritage Room and offers a full-service bakery and other takeout dining options. Walk-ins are welcome to see what desserts are available for grab-and-go service and quick takeout orders are often available.

Fair Royalty and Great Poultry

Makenna Lybarger sits on a hay bale with three chickens.

Despite school being out of session, Makenna Lybarger is going to be quite busy during Fall Break. The Eastland Career Center junior will be showing animals during the Fairfield County Fair and will be competing to be named Fairfield County Junior Fair Queen.

Makenna was one of 10 young women to be named a finalist for this year’s Fairfield County Junior Fair Queen competition, putting her on the doorstep of achieving a feat that she has dreamed of since childhood ... being representing Fairfield County as the 2024 Junior Fair Queen!

Makenna's story really beaked our interest and after learning about her and all the amazing things that she is doing that led to her nomination, we think the committee made an egg-cellent decision to consider her for Junior Fair Queen. Best of cluck to Makenna at this year's Panorama and county fair animal showing events! Read more ...

All The, "Small" Things

Smells Like School Spirit

Lockers at ECC with their new decorative and colorful wraps!

Ok, so it doesn't smell at all, but Eastland Career Center got a bit of a facelift this month when we installed new locker wraps to show our school spirit! It's not just about Eastland-Fairfield spirit, but look really close and you'll find the logos of our students' home schools, too! We take pride that we come from so many places to make one amazing EFCTS community!

Good Day, Senior Sunrise

Two female students holding up a frame reading "Senior Sunrise"

Earlier this month, students and staff at Fairfield Career Center held its first Senior Sunrise event. Students from many of FCC's programs came to school early to watch the sun make its appearance and enjoy each other's company with a cup or mug full of coffee. It was a fantastic way to kick off the start of the year for the Class of 2025, and may be the start of a new tradition at FCC!
